First off we appreciate everyone working through these trying times.Had our usual meal of baked chicken and dressing, mashed potatoes and rutabagas.(love the salmon patties also) Everything was very good but Thought the over 2.00 for a small sweet tea that can’t be refilled was a little too much. 1.00 would have been more reasonable! Other than that hope to see you again soon!

An interesting find on a vacation. Food was very filling and tasted amazing. Being a chicken liver, my grilled chicken and mushrooms was excellent. Wish I hadn't snacked earlier or I would have tried the desserrts. However every side was scrumptious, even if oddly named!

I love the Swanson! It’s a beautiful old Southern house with wrap around porch and classy white tablecloths. You can dress casual like most people but the setting reminds me of a better time when my mom had friends over for a coffee clutch(gab session). This is a Beautiful clean restaurant with a cozy feel.I love the selection of entrees and so far everything I’ve tried I absolutely loved. The collard green soup is fabulous and the little muffins are amazing with it. I also had the pot roast which was fall apart delicious. The Management and staff are always so friendly and proficient.

We had lunch at the Swanson restaurant on a Tuesday so there was not a long wait. It was a very clean restaurant with very clean restrooms. The restaurant is in a charming old house with some outdoor front porch dining. The decor is fresh and cottage style. They gave us a small plate of mini corn bread muffins which were very tasty. We ordered two vegetable plates. The creamed corn was made from canned corn which was disappointing. The other veggies fried okra, squash casserole and broccoli and rice was a little to salty for our taste. The sweet potato souffle and mac and cheese was good. We had dessert, bread pudding and chocolate cake, which were delicious. Reasonable prices for the type of food and restaurant setting. We enjoyed our meal and the town of Perry. I would recommend this restaurant.

The food is delicious and atmosphere comfy and quaint. We love the cornbread muffins, but no honey for them. I wish they would get some honey from a local honey supplier here in Perry. Lee Ledger of Lee's Bee's has some amazing honey that should be in every table at the Swanson House.

Questions & Answers

I believe they do private parties. They have a lot of room

They offer vegetables and salad but I would not consider them vegan.

Maybe 40 min to an hour from sit down to get up.

Yes

Best to call for a speedier answer, they may not get the message on maps right away.

They did tell us they had changed the menu and everything we had was delicious.

Not sure but it wouldn't hurt to go there and find out

I'm not sure about now, but I know they use to serve wine and beer.

Exit 135 to Courtney Hodges left. Straight into town.
